To all to Whom these presents shall Come or may Concern I Thomas Stuart of the parrish of St. Katherines in the Island afforesaid practitioner in Physick and Chirurging Aend Greeting Know yee that I the said Thomas Stuart in Consideration of the Love and Affection I have for and Bear Towards my God daughter Rachell Thache daughter of Capt. Edward Thache of the Towne of St. Jago de la Vega [AKA Spanish Town] and for divers other good Causes and Considerations me the said Thomas Stuart thereunto Especially moveing have given granted Assigned Sett over and Confirmed and by these Presents doe fully and absolutely give grant Assigne Sett over and Confirm unto my said God[daughter] Rachell Thache one negro Girle named sabina marked on the right shoulder as P Mangent and in Case of the death of my said God daughter Rachell To Thomas Thatche son of the said Edward Thatche and in case of the death of the said Thomas Thatche to Elizabeth Thatch her heirs and Assigns To have and to hold the said negro Girle named sabina to my said god daughter Rachell Thache and in Case of her death to the said Thom.s Thache and in case of his death to to the said Elizabeth Thatch her heirs and Assigns forever and I the said Thomas Stuart for myselfe my heires Executors & Administrators and every of us the above given and granted negroe Girle named sabina unto them the said Rachell Thach Thomas Thach and Elizabeth Thache and every of them against all & every P[er]sons and P[er]sons Whatsoever shall and Will forever Warrant and defend by these P[re]sents In Wittness I the said Thomas Stuart have hereunto put my hand and Seale the Twenty third day of March in the fifth Year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland and of Jamaica Lady defendor of the ffaith &c. And in the year of our Lord one thousand seaven hundred and ffive -
