Sends a Copy of Captn. ADM 2/452 NC Call# 73.841.2 Brand of the Lyme's Letter relating to the Interuptions he met with at Carolina in condemning Pirats Effects.

Haveing received a Letter from Captn. [Ellis] Brand Commander of his Majtys. Ship the Lyme attending on Virginia, complaining of the Interuptions he has met with from the officers of the Government of Carolina in the Condemnation of Some Piratical Effects Seized by him from the Pirat [Edward] Thach, and of Some Accusations they are preparing to Send home against him on that Account; I am Commanded by my Lords of the Admlty. to send you the enclosed Extract of his Letter, which you will please to communicate to his Excellency the Lord Carteret [Lord Proprietor of Carolina], the aforesaid Pyrat having much infested that Country.
