Sir, The enclosed is a Petition on behalf of Some of the Companys of the Lyme and Pearl, setting forth that they have been deprived of their Shares of Some Plunder, and also of Prize Moneys due to them for taking a Pirate Ship in the West Indies, by Lieut Maynard, and my Lords Commrs of the Admty. are pleased to direct that you give me for their Lordships Information a particular Account of what you know of this Matter, and I desire you will therewith return the Petition to.
